If you swim and have a passion for art this is a group for you! Even if you used to swim but still love the sport you can join this group too!

We're on a mission to find as many swimmers on dA as possible! If you swim join the group. If you know someone that swims tell them about the group.

We all have our favorite past times. But who says you can't have 2? That's also what this group is about, we all love swimming and we all love art. Why don't we all come together and form a group full of art-loving swimmers.

Pep talks... and tumblr?Our big end-of-the-season conference meet is coming up next week. It will be, in all likelihood, my last swim meet ever. After 15+ years of competition. My coach has been emphasizing the power of confidence and positive thinking and told us to surround ourselves with good thoughts.
My ideas was that if you wanted to write a little pep-talk or something for me, I would print them out and tape them up on my wall so I could surround myself with encouragement from you lovely people for the next week or so. :3

sampleUnderwater, my vision blurred, the world tinted blue. I reached around in the water for the grasps, for I would hold on, other than the cord around my waist. The whole thing seemed pretty flimsy to me. Weak. I pulled myself over, atop the panel I would need to work on. My tools were all tied to my belt-thing, floating around me before I could grab the right one.

Fall of the House of Usher: Madeline's PerspectiveI fell ill with the family illness in late December. I am honestly not sure what the illness is, some sort of brain parasite probably. Anyway, my twin brother, Roderick, has been acting quite strangely. He has been moaning in his sleep and keeps saying the name of his boyhood friend, William. He has also been saying that there are phantoms in the house. I am calming him as best I can, but he is pushing me away as if I was one of those horrendous monsters. I grew even more worried when he sent for William.
            William arrived a few days later¾that was a surprise¾ and greeted Roderick happily while I was locked up in my chambers. Roderick had decided that I was bad to be around and wanted me confined in the boundaries of my room. I was quite hurt by this act of fear, but I obeyed. Championship Season!

Championship season is here! It's one of the most spirited, fun filled, and exciting times of a swimmer's career! You may have had your chamionship meet already or you're still preparing for it. All of us have lived through the fun that comes with these meets.

If you already had your meet how was it? Was there anything you noticed you needed to work on? Did you go a best time? Or maybe you did something crazy and outrageous for team spirit. Did you qualify for a new meet? What happened? It's always fun listening to these storys.

If you're not swimming anymore tell us about your favorite swim meet memory. Was it a teammate that brightened your day by saying something funny? Or it could have been winning a race you never thought you would ever win. What was it? Swim meet memories can be pretty crazy.

And for all of you who haven't had your campionship meet you're probably preparing yourself for it right now. Is there anything specific that you plan on doing at the meet? Have you been working really hard in practice to get a certain cut for another meet? Do you plan on dropping time in a certain event? Did you go out and buy a ton of team spirit stuff to wear at the meet? Tell us about it.
